Reclaimed Walkabout Character Australian Jarrah Flooring

Salvaged from Australian woolen mills, our Reclaimed Jarrah has the look of rainforest-grown Mahogany. A strong, dense wood with a rich grain and fine details, Jarrah works well as board stock for furniture and due to its hardness, makes terrific flooring

Our reclaimed Jarrah is a mix of Jarrah and Karri woods, both of the Eucalyptus family. Unless you handle this wood every day, for all practical purposes the woods are indistinguishable. For that reason, we refer to both woods as “Jarrah,” as it is the more common species we sell.

Our Walkabout Character grade has a lot of color variation, ranging from light purple through to dark brown. Nail holes and gum veins add to its charm

RECLAIMED JARRAH - FAIR DINKUM

DENSITY: Usually very dense

HEARTWOOD: 95% Heartwood or more content

GRAIN: No restriction on mixture of at-sawn and vertical-grain

COLOR: Reddish brown color with slight natural color variation

KNOTS: Very infrequent small knots

TEXTURE: Re-sawing and milling removes all but very infrequent saw marks and previous wear patterns

DISCOLORATION: Limited ferrous staining around nail holes

LENGTHS: 1-1/2' to 15' is standard

RECLAIMED JARRAH - WALKABOUT CHARACTER
A combination of two very similar Australian hardwoods Jarrah & Karri

DENSITY: Usually very dense

HEARTWOOD: Unlimited combination of heartwood and sapwood

GRAIN: No restriction on mixture of at-sawn and vertical-grain

COLOR: Wide color variation allowed between and within boards. Wood is generally red to brown in color with some lighter hues.

KNOTS: Very infrequent and small.

TEXTURE: Shadow planed to leave remnants of original circle-saw marks

DISCOLORATION: Ferrous staining allowed along with darker hues in texture areas.

LENGTHS: 1-1/2' to 15' is standard

HOLES: No restriction on nail holes. Occasional fastener holes allowed.

CHECKS: Non-structural checks and cracks allowed

Your flooring will be shipped directly to your building site, the shipping is shopped for an affordable shipping rate to save you money. We do not add any markup or handling fees to the shipping cost. We will provide you with a shipping quote prior to placing your order.

Montana does not have a sales tax, so we do not collect any sales tax. If your state requires you to pay a sales tax on products ordered out of state, it is your responsibility to pay your home state (if required)
