Pine Door Limited Warranty

Pine Door Company, Inc. (PDC) warrants that each door it sells is free from unnatural defects in material or workmanship that would render said door unserviceable or unfit for the ordinary recommended use for a period of ONE YEAR from shipping date. Should a PDC stile and rail door fail to conform to this written warranty, PDC will, at its option, either repair the door, ship a replacement door to the distributor or person making the warranty claim in the same condition as the door originally sold to the distributor, or refund the original purchase price.

PDC SHALL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE COST OF LABOR, INSTALLATION OR FINISHING OF THE REPLACEMENT OR ORIGINAL DOOR OR FOR ANY OTHER COST RELATING TO THE REPLACEMENT OF THE DOOR.

Proper finishing, maintenance, and handling are specifically made a condition of this guarantee.

THE FOLLOWING SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED DEFECTS IN MATERIAL OR WORKMANSHP AND ARE NOT COVERED BY THIS LIMITED WARRANTY:

1. Warp for any 1-3/8” door 3’0” wide by 7’0” high or smaller, not exceeding 3/8” in the plane of the door itself (warp is measured by placing a straight edge on the concave face and measuring the maximum distance between the straight edge and the face of the door)

2. Warp for any 1-3/8” door up to 3’0” or higher than 7’0”

3. Warp for any 1-3/4” door up to 3’6” or higher than 8’0”, not exceeding 3/8” in the plane of the door

     3a. Warp for any 1-3/4” door wider than 3’6” or higher than 8’0”

4. Natural variations in the color or texture of the wood

5. Damage caused by others or by a cause beyond the control of PDC, including but not limited to damage caused by misuse, abuse, accident, mishandling or acts of nature (misuse of a door includes, but is not limited to, using a door on part of a building without providing adequate overhang)

6. Damage due to trimming more than ½” from the top or 1” from the bottom

7. Damage caused by failure to comply with the Care & Handling and Finishing Guides provided by PDC (see links above), including failure to seal all six surfaces of the door within 30 days of the date the doors are received

8. Any door that has visible water stains or moisture damage resulting from exposure to water

9. Product failure due to improper or incorrect installation

10. Attempts to repair PDC products other than by PDC

11. Panel movement of 1/8” or less (temperature and humidity may cause the wood panels in your door to shrink, leaving an unstained line along the panel edge)

12. * This limited warranty extends only to the original purchaser of products or to the original purchaser of the structure onto which such products are installed.

PROCEDURES FOR REPLACEMENT OF DEFECTIVE DOORS

If warranted doors are found to be defective, the following procedures are to be followed:

• Contact Pine Door Company to discuss the defects and determine if the door(s) are covered by warranty
• Return the door(s) to Pine Door Co. (crate and freight are the responsibility of the customer)
• If, upon inspection, it is determined that the manufacturer is liable for the defect the door(s) will be replaced and all responsibility for freight and crate expenses will be assumed by Pine Door Company.
