A Little About Brown Dog Building Supply

We are a small business located in Whitefish, Montana. We have a sales office there and we sell by appointment. If you are not near our office location we can provide you with product information by telephone, fax, e-mail, or mail

We started our business as an alternative to the conventional building supply centers. We were frustrated in what was available at the big stores (the lack of green building products and personal service), and with the price at the specialty door and flooring stores.

We were also interested in green building products. While we don't push an agenda on our customers, we feel that whatever we can do that is eco friendly, large or small, it all helps our environment.

Building Green?
We are continually looking for high quality green building and construction products to add to our product lines. Please let us know if you have a product that you are interested in that we currently don't carry.

Our goal is to provide our customers with high quality products at an affordable price. We do this by having a small office and showroom to save on energy costs, labor costs, warehouse costs, and impact on the environment.

Shipping
We have your products shipped directly to your building site, and most of our products include FREE SHIPPING to the lower 48 states (does not include Alaska or Hawaii).

If the product you purchase does not include free shipping, we shop for an affordable shipping rate to save you money. We do not add any markup or handling fees to the shipping cost. We will provide you with a shipping quote prior to placing your order.

Sales Staff

We have an experienced sales staff that can assist you with selecting the right flooring or door for your project. Please feel free to call if you have questions about any of our products, or if you want us to research a green building product for you. We have a lot of resources that are not listed in this web page.

Office Hours

We are open Monday - Friday, from 8 am to 4:30 pm. If you reach our voice mail, that means we are helping someone else, or we are at a building site. Please leave us a message and we will get back to you as soon as possible.

No Sales Tax

Montana does not have a sales tax, so we do not collect any sales tax. If your state requires you to pay a sales tax on products ordered out of state, it is your responsibility to pay your home state (if required)

Payments

We accept checks, money orders, Pay Pal, and charge cards. We offer a small discount for checks/cash payments.
